Star Trek Into Darkness

I went and saw 'Star Trek Into Darkness' for the second time this afternoon. It's just as good the second as the first. I cried more than once because I knew what was going to happen. Plus I know the story from Spock Prime's alternate reality that this movie is based off of. I didn't remember it before.

'Into Darkness' is great. I love LOVE the cast! Everyone is so great in their roles. A lot of the cast look and act very much like the "original" counterparts. I'm rewatching the Original Series and I'm loving it! I see the mannerisms that the new cast keep from the original character portrayals.

...

I got distracted by all the Star Trek photos I was looking at. And none of them convey what I wanted so I guess this post doesn't get a photo. :)

...

Suffice it to say that the reboot of Star Trek is something I love! If they make more movies I hope that they continue to make the original series' concepts seem right at home.

Bigger In My Head

All day today I have been gathering ideas via Pinterest for my "Alice In Wonderland" themed wedding. lol. I'm not engaged. I don't even have a boyfriend right now. But, hey, a girl can dream. lol. I added a TON of pictures to my "Alice" board. It is making me excited to plan my wedding for real.

Today I also wrapped all but one of my Christmas gifts. It's nice to have them all done. Now I just need to figure out what I'm getting my brother and buy it. I have nine days to do it. No pressure. lol. I like the theme I have this year for my wrapping. I am using red paper, green striped twine, and silver stamped names. It's simple and makes me smile when I see them sitting under the tree.

Yes, I got myself a present.
For FHE this past week we decorated Graham cracker houses. I decided to make a TARDIS from 'Doctor Who'. I dyed some frosting blue and "painted" the sides of my house. I decorated it with York candy pieces. I think it's kind of funny that my blue turned out to be a Tiffany blue. lol. I would have made it darker but I only had a pastel-type blue. It's unique and I like it.

For the past few weeks I have wanted to put my DVD collection in boxes on my bookshelf. I have covered my books white and the DVD are distracting. lol. So I thought I could put them in a shoe box and cover it. DVD don't fit in shoe boxes. So I turned to Pinterest for some ideas. I found this idea where they made there own boxes. Heck, I can do that. So, with permission, I took some cardboard boxes home from the plethora at work. This next week I will cut into them and create the perfect sized boxes. I'll cover them with either white or black paper. I think I'll even label the boxes a bit so I know what DVDs are inside. The labels are mostly for my tv seasons (Doctor Who, NCIS, Numbers...) and the other misc movies can be in an unlabeled box. Maybe.

Oh my gosh!!! I haven't told you about the most awesome news I have heard in the past couple of months. Josh Groban announced his new CD!!!! Eep!!! It's called 'All That Echoes' and it will be released February 5, 2013. I love the album cover and I can not wait to see more photos from the photo-shoot  And to hear the album, of course.

Umm ... Can't Think Of A Title

Yesterday I was only supposed to work the morning shift. But my manager looked at the wrong schedule and when he found out he had one less person then he thought he asked if I wanted to stay all day. Of course I do. I need money. More hours is more money. lol. I also volunteered to work Saturday for the spring football scrimmage. That'll be another three hours I get paid for.

Colton and I watched a movie a his house last night. We watched 'V for Vendetta'. It's a good movie. I enjoyed it. And then we had so much fun cuddling that we didn't want to part ways. So we watched an episode of 'How I Met Your Mother'.

Saturday Fun

On Saturday I had a full fun-filled day.

First off 'The Last Airbender' new series aired Saturday morning. It's called 'The Legend of Korra' and it's about the new Avatar. The first two episodes were aired and they were really good. I think we are going to wait until the DVD comes out to watch them all. But I think I might watch them online every week. We went over to my cousin's house and watched it. He had a little viewing party with about eight people. That was fun.

We, my brother's and I and a friend, went downtown to the city library. They are having their biannual sale. I had heard about the sales before but never been to one. It was awesome. They had all these books and movies and CDs for sale for cheap. I spent $12 and got about 8 or 9 things. It was cool.

After the library, since we were downtown, we walked around City Creek for a bit. We watched one of the fountain shows. It was cool. But it wasn't the one with fire. It was still fun. It had music from 'Beauty and the Beast'. I had been to the mall before. It was a lot less crowded on Saturday then when I went. But I did go the second day it was open. lol. We went into some of the stores that I wanted to go in before but didn't because of all the people. Tiffany and Co. was really fun. It's sparkly in there. lol. We also went into the Disney store. That was fun. We ate at the food court since we were all hungry and it was lunchtime. We sat over by the kids play place because it was, surprisingly, more quiet over there.

I had my date with Colton on Saturday night. I had lots of fun and look forward to this weekend when we have another date. lol. We went to dinner at Cafe Rio because I don't remember ever being inside before. Then we went and saw 'The Hunger Games' movie because I had not seen it yet. Colton has previously seen the movie but he didn't mind seeing it again. I read the books not very long ago so everything was/is still fresh in my mind. I thought the movie followed the book very well. And I really liked the movie. It was very good. I thought the whole cast was great. I was a little leery of Josh Hutcherson playing Peeta but I think he was awesome. I think he is actually my favorite from the movie. lol. I look forward to seeing the second book in movie form which comes out in 2013. After the movie we went back to Colton's house and baked cookies for dessert.

Eggs, Scales, and Pages

So I was typing and typing this blog post and then I hit some key and deleted the entire entry. Which is fine I can just undo it and it should come back, right? Wrong! Blogger auto-saved my blank document right when that happened. Normally I like the auto-save feature but not right now. I wish it was more like Microsoft Word's auto-save. It saves every 20 minutes after you initially save the document. Or something like that. I know it auto-saves at a good length of time, not after every minute of change. So yeah, now I have to retype all that I was talking about. And it was so long and good. I'm annoyed and not in the mood to retype it all. Grrr!

* Twelve hours later *

Okay, let’s type this …

For Easter Chad and Amber and family came and spent Sunday with us. Cayden and Laura are still adorable. lol. We colored eggs and I helped Cayden. First Cayden and I colored an egg using crayon while Mom mixed the dyes. Then we dipped it in green for a few seconds and Cayden was fascinated. The egg went from white to green before his very eyes. lol. After that we didn’t color with crayon. We proceeded to dye all dozen eggs that were allotted to Cayden different colors. He kept picking purple but I think that’s because it was the closest color to him. I am really surprised I didn’t get any dye on my clothes. We came close to spilling a few times. I had to keep reminding Cayden that the spoon stays in the cup. lol. I tried to vary the length of time that the egg got dyed so there was some sort of variety in color. I think Cayden had a lot of fun. I know Amber got some photos of Cayden egg dyeing. They are on her blog.

Since Kim and I haven’t had a girl’s night out for a few months we decided to plan one for this week. The plan is to go to dinner and a movie. I was actually thinking it’d be fun to see ‘The Hunger Games’. That will be fun to hang out with Kim. It’s been way to long since the two of us had our Girl night.

For FHE on Monday they played games outside. They had Capture the Flag and several Frisbees. We brought our Bocce ball set and played some of that with a few people few the first bit. Mostly I tossed a Frisbee around. Eric has this really awesome one that goes really far. I like that one. I can’t remember what it’s called. I think I got a few mosquito bites when the sun went down.

When we were leaving FHE I got asked on a date for this weekend. On Saturday I have a date with a guy named Colton. I really like talking with Colton we always laugh a lot. He is really funny. I have actually thought it’d be fun to go out with Colton but I haven’t asked him. So it’s nice that he asked me. lol. I’m not sure what we’re doing yet but it’ll be fun.

After FHE we watched TRON (the original, not TRON: Legacy) that Eric borrowed from the library. Colton and I weren’t really paying attention to the movie in the first place so we went upstairs and played on the Wii. We played a couple of rounds of Wii Sports golf. Then we switched over to LEGO Star Wars (which I have been slightly obsessed with that game lately. It’s really fun. I like it.) We played with some of the extras on like the one where all of our characters where glasses and mustache disguises. lol. General Grievous and C-3PO look really funny with those on. lol.

I fed Satine last week. The intent was to feed her two mice. But she only ate one. She killed both but she didn’t eat the second one. I’m not sure if she just didn’t want it or if her shedding (or lack thereof) contributed. She couldn’t really see of feel very well because she still had dead skin on her head. The night I fed her I let her alone in her cage. But the next afternoon I took her out and helped her shed all that skin off. She was flaky shedding so I just took a warm washcloth and rubbed from her neck to her tail a few times. Her dead skin came right off and she is so pretty. Then I went to town on getting the skin off her head. I carefully peeled off the skin from her nose and the chunk of skin went from her nose off her eyes and down her neck a little. It was cool. I had a little piece to get off the top of her head. But that was it really. Satine seemed so happy after she could see and breathe better. She still has some skin on her neck but if I can’t easily get it off then I leave it alone. I don’t want to hurt her. lol. When I was getting all the skin off of Satine (both her head and her body) she just sort of sat there. She seemed so relaxed. And she seemed really happy after she could see. lol. If she could smile I’m sure she would have.

For past couple of weeks I have been waiting for my book to get to the library. I few days ago I finally got it. I am reading Tess of the D’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy. I have seen the BBC mini-series that was done a couple of years ago so reading the book is great. I don’t remember much of the show though so it’s still new to me. I do know that the Alexander character that she just met is not to be trusted. I keep telling her not to go because he is bad. But of course Tess doesn’t listen to me. lol.

Holidays and Rooms

So I have been really bad at updating my blog. lol. And I have things to talk about. Like Christmas and my room and the bathroom and um ... yeah that's about it.

So ...

Christmas was fun. Since it was on a Sunday we had church. Steven and I went to our parent's family ward. They had all the children doing a program. It was only sacrament meeting so that was nice. (It's always something like a program / just sacrament meeting whenever Christmas Day falls on a Sunday.) It breaks with our tradition though of staying in our new pjs all day. We have to get dressed for church. lol. Oh well. I got so fun stuff. As a last minute addition to my Christmas list I put a new stereo / CD player on there. And I got one. I didn't expect to get one so that was a surprise. This one is cool because in addition to the five CD changer it has a place for a MP3 player hookup, with a little shelf to keep it while it with the stereo. That really nice. It's an AUX cable hookup so it works with any MP3 player. I got a new shirt and jeans. But they were both too big so Mom and I exchanged them. Mom's gift (the reason for the exchange) was a new shirt and jeans. But I also got a new spring dress (which is striped and actually really cute), a teal cardigan, and a couple of new tank tops. My older tanks are too small. I still need to go back and see if the have any whites there. They were out of my size when I got the pink and black one. I feel like I got something else while we were there but I can't remember. Shirt, shirt, dress, jeans ... Oh well, I got a new slip too but that doesn't really count does it? lol. I got lots of small things too. I got a puzzle (which we put it together already), socks, candy, a super bright flashlight, a couple of pairs of earrings, popcorn ... Chad/Amber gave me an adorable Thumper (the rabbit from 'Bambi') stuffed animal. It's official Disney merchandise (or so the tag says) so he looks exactly like Thumper and he is really soft. Steven gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card. I'm saving it for one of the books I want in paperback. If I use it wisely maybe I can use it for two of them. But I haven't looked to much into that because I'm not ready to read any other books yet. (I'm almost done with The Two Towers.) One of my Grobie sisters sent me a gift to. We can do that because we live in the States. It's more difficult to send our Europe sisters gifts because all that international stuff. We send cards though. (I say we but I have yet to send anything to anyone. I'm such a bad friend. I've known them for about three years and I have never sent a card. Bad Krysta. lol. I've never had extra money. But I'm working on a Groban stash so I can use that. Random. I know.) Anyways, Theresa sent me a bag that she was planning on donating to Grobanites for Charity but I asked for it instead. lol. She sent my goodies to. Like chocolate, a yo-yo, some nail art things, oh and she sent Josh. I LOVE that part! It was so unexpected. It's a Straight to You tour pass with a fabulous photo of Josh Groban on it. I hung it on my door. It makes me smile. From the Grandparents I got a handmade lovely, fluffy (seriously it's so soft) scarf and hat, cute Santa Claus salt and pepper shakers, and money, among other things. I think that's about it for Christmas.

The bathroom has been painted and tiled and has been waiting for the shower glass to be put in for a couple of weeks. Last week, Thursday I think, the guy came and put the glass in. It's done now. And the bathroom looks so much nicer now. Dad made the shower slightly larger because he wanted to get rid of the gap between the shower and the counter. It's nice to not have that gap there. Spiders would die there and Brian and I were to lazy to vacuum them up. lol. But I really seems like the shower is bigger. I probably has to do with the glass not having stripes on it too. It's clear, minimal frame, two-way swinging door, shower now. It's really nice. I also like that the walls are darker and not so crazy yellow. I never liked getting ready in there because it had odd lighting. But now I don't mind it. My next task with the bathroom is to organize the drawers and underneath the sink. I saw some nice, clear divider things at Target yesterday that I want. I can't buy them yet but I wanted to organize it all soon anyways. (That is on my to-do list for tomorrow morning.) I have to remember not to expand my stuff over to the other three drawers because Eric is going to want space when he gets home next month. I'll see what I can do. lol.

Speaking of organizing, my room is pretty much done. Yeah, I know I've been saying that for a while. But this time it's true. I just have aesthetic things to do now. I have a box of magazines to sort through. But it's in a box so it's not as much of an eyesore as when they were in piles on the floor or in a laundry basket. And I'm covering all of my books to be white. But I need more gift wrap from the dollar store. More about that project when I'm finished. :) I have found that I have a lot of t-shirts that I still don't wear so I'd like to sort through those (again) and get rid of some of them. I was thinking I'd put them all in a box and if I wear it during a month period it gets kept and put in the drawer. The other ones get donated or have to have a really good reason for staying. I thought I had paired it down enough before but I still feel like I have tons of shirts. lol. I never really had a spot for my laundry baskets in the other room and I made sure that I have a spot for them in this room. Guess where I put them? My laundry basket sits in them, which is in my closet, next to my extra hangers. (Did you know I have different hangers then the rest of the house? I wanted my own non-mismatched set. So a few years ago I bought my own. It's really nice. lol.)

Let's see ... It's a new year! 2012! That's big. It's doesn't seem like it should be 2012. I graduated high school in 2006. And it certainly does not feel like it has been six years since then. ... I don't really have any major goals for this year, just I renewed vigor to do the old goals. Read scriptures daily, pay tithing, blog, be happy. This year I did want to actually do some of the creative stuff I have in mind. Actually, the white book thing is the first thing I'm doing with that. I might read Shakespeare this year but I have a feeling not so much. I have several other books I'd like to read this year so I have a feeling I won't get to those this year. I still want to read them someday. lol. Also this year I am hoping that I can keep my room way more organized, and clean, that before. So far I'm liking it so that should be okay to do. Before I would not have space and I would get bored so things ended up on the floor. As far as the actual year's events go ... I have two wedding scheduled so far, a niece being born, Eric comes home next month, and I have the tennis Opens already in my calender. (The Australian Open starts on Monday. Yay!) Who knows what else is going to happen this year. lol. Steven, or I, could get married. But I don't foresee that happening. Maybe, maybe, engaged but not married. lol. (Neither one of us is dating at the moment, just so you know.)

Um ... Saturday Song posts. I was going to mention those. You may, or may not, have noticed that I haven't posted any this year yet. I'm still debating on if I want to do that weekly or just monthly. I am leaning more toward monthly because I don't know if I have enough songs in mind to do 52-ish of them. I'll look later this week and see if I do or not. If I do then I'll most certainly post last weeks post as well as schedule several of them for the future.

I think that all the topics I wanted to talk about. Unless you want to hear how my reading of LOTR has been going? lol. (I still super fun, btw.)

Spaces and Spots

I feel like I haven't written for a while. And there are fun stuff to write about. lol.

I have my 2012 planner/calender all set. I'm glad I have it done that way I don't have to do it in the new year. I even wrote in what my Grobie Sister's addresses. That way I'd have them for easy access. I highlighted birthdays and anniversaries like I always do. I even penciled in some key events that I already know about. At the back I have a list of birthdays and anniversaries for my family. I put it on a shipping label in the very back cover of the planner. I think I'll do that from now on. It is very convenient.I like that I have to carry around two planners every December. It's funny. I'm glad they are different colors or else I would get really confused. lol.

I have been moving into the "new" bedroom the past week or so. It's all painted and ready. I moved furniture in with some help. Dad had said I can't put anything on the shelves for a couple of days so I haven't done that yet. I know I can now but I've been busy. The only things in there, besides the furniture, is the books on the tall bookshelf and my hanging up clothes. I plan on moving my drawer clothes in there tonight. (I did laundry yesterday and I need to fold them.) I have been sleeping on my bed but it isn't totally made. I put a blanket on top of the mattress which I sleep on top of. And I have my two comforters on top of that. I need to put the bed-skirt and correct sheets on the bed. It fun to have my saucer chair back. I like sitting in it and reading or being on the laptop. Although It does need some big pillow for back support. I guess I'll pull out my toss pillows from the garage when I go looking for the sheets. I might not have any stuff put away but I pretty much planned it all out on paper (random sketches) already. So it shouldn't take too long to put everything where it is going to belong. I am hoping that everything will have a spot and I will be able to keep this room clean. I feel like the other room had no room. lol. I post pictures soon.

Satine is still in the other room. I did find her a new heat pad. It is not what I was looking for but it still works great. It's probably better because it can hide completely underneath the tank because it is a small heat pad. While I was at the pet store, where the heat pad was bought, I saw something that I thought Satine would like. Since she is a python and likes to hang from stuff I got her some bamboo branches. I haven't put them in yet but I'm sure she'll like them.

The Saturday Song posts for December need to be created but I know what songs are going with what week, so that part is done. They are all Christmas songs but they are my favorite. I listed all my favorites and then picked five I really like. I might do a bonus post because I really want to do one song but it is instrumental.

I have been thinking I might make a quilt to go on my bed. It's just gonna be a light blanket sort of quilt that is bigger then a queen-size. I can use it for when I watch movies and stuff too. I want to make it with greens, teals, some white, and possibly a park purple for pizazz. I want it to bigger then a queen-size so that I looks good on my bed. I have to figure out the measurements still. I think a king-size would be too big. I really like the pattern (or lack of pattern) of this green quilt so I was thinking of doing something similar. But I also don't want binding (hard to explain that ... I'll have to show you) and I plan on tying the blanket with white yarn. It'll have a thin batting in the middle for warmth and stability.

I have been watching 'Stargate SG-1' still. I am on season five. Since I started working I have slowed down on watching them. I think I have four or five more episodes until the end of the season.

This weekend Kimberlee and I went to dinner and to see 'Breaking Dawn'. I thought the movie was really good. It follows the book really well which is great. They split the four book into two movies and I like where this first one left off. I think it;s perfect. I really liked the second half of the book so it;ll be interesting to see how they do that. The second part comes out in November, 2012. (I thought it came out in the spring but I guess I was wrong.)

Dad has been redoing the bathroom for a while now. He painted the room and redid the counter top already. And he ripped out the shower. I think they picked out tile because Dad is going to tile the shower on Wednesday. And then the shower glass guys have to come and install the door soon after that. So I think I get to have the bathroom back next week or the week after. Right now I am sharing the upstairs bathroom with Steven.

Busy, Busy Week

Well, the last post was Saturday so what have I been doing all week. Working. Working. And working. I'm glad I am but working all these hours is starting to get to me. I'm glad I have had a chance to relax a couple of times this week. I helps me stay sane. I can veg out watching 'NCIS' or 'Bones' or whatever. Monday and Tuesday were typical 10am-2pm days. Wednesday I was supposed to get off but I picked up a shift for a co-worker who couldn't work. That was 2-6pm. And then Thursday and Friday (today) there have been high school playoff games at Rice Eccles Stadium that we have been selling tickets for. It is a cash only ticket sales bonanza for three games yesterday and two major games today. It was crazy busy but tons of fun. I felt like I let my guard down and my co-workers got to know a little more about me in the process. lol. Tomorrow (Saturday) is a typical 10am-8ish pm home football game day. Working the phones in the morning. Working will call in the afternoon until half-time. I like working those games. It's simple and fun.

Tuesday Ammon, Kimberlee and I also went to see that new Three Musketeers movie. It was good. I liked the uniqueness of the story. It had elements that other musketeer movies don't have. But I still like the Disney version better. It was kind of funny that I couldn't remember the actor who plays Athos until halfway through the movie. It was bugging me so when I remembered it I yelled it out loud. It's okay because we were the only ones in the theatre. lol. How could I forget Matthew Mcfayden's name?! I LOVE him in the 'Pride and Prejudice' movie with Anne Hathaway. He is such a great actor. I think the beard was throwing me off. That and for some reason my brain kept thinking he was Christopher not Matthew. I knew it wasn't right though. lol.

Stuff I was Doing

Today was nice. I went on a walk on this cold, blustery morning with Lauren. When I got back I hopped in the shower and got ready for the day. At 12:30pm Ammon came over and while we were waiting for our third person she sent us a text and said she couldn't make it. So Ammon and I decided to go to a movie anyways. I convinced him that we should see 'Dolphin Tale'. I had heard about it and seen commercials. I knew it was gonna be good. But Ammon had never heard about it. But he trusted me and I think he really enjoyed the movie. If you ever get the chance to see it,do. It's fabulous. Afterwards we went to Arby's to get something to eat. When I got home I through in some B.T. music (specifically, his 'These Hopeful Machines' cd) and started working on some things on the computer. I got a few of them done but I still have more that I need to do. But I got the most important thing done first. I don't have to worry about it not being on time now. Mom got me some nail polish remover at the store, because I asked her to and we don't have any. And tonight while Dad and I were watching 'Person of Interest' I took off my fingernail polish. I thought about painting them too but decided I can paint them later. I have a few broken nails that are bugging me so I didn't feel like trying to paint them. I have a really long day of work tomorrow and Saturday so I'm heading off to bed a little early tonight.

Long Day

Today I worked all day. I brought my computer so I could watch some ‘Stargate SG-1’ if I get really bored. At around 3ish I did watch an episode. I also put ‘The Lion King’ CD and ‘Aida’ CD on my computer. When I get home I need get the album information. I think I’ll watch an episode of something I’ve been missing and then go to sleep early too. I work tomorrow from 1pm to 6pm. When I got to work today I checked to see if I got my paycheck and I did. I don’t do direct deposit so my check gets mails to my house. Work was pretty slow. In the morning we did finish up stuffing envelopes for next sports tickets. I was mostly on the phones. I think I got five or six calls all day. Most of them were asking about what time the Black-Out Game starts on Oct. 29. But since this week’s game is an away game it was pretty quiet. At 5pm I was so ready to go home. Near the end I was yawning a lot. I had no doubt I’d sleep on the train ride home, which I did.

I went shopping with Lauren yesterday. We went to the dollar store and D.I. We were looking for good costume ideas and stuff. I already know what I’m doing this year for Halloween. So I was just collecting pieces for it. I have the main stuff now. There are a few minor detail things that would be fun to have but not necessary. And I don’t want to say what I’m doing until later. I’ll have a post on my costume closer to Halloween. (Probably on Halloween.)

I really need to find Satine a new heat pad soon. I’ll start looking online again once I know I have some money to buy one. I have looked in stores for one but it is impossible to find a heating pad that does not have an automatic shut-off. Since it’s getting to be winter weather I need to find her one soon.

Tomorrow some friends and I are going to a corn maze. Since I missed the ward FHE where they went to a corn maze, I’m looking forward to going to this one. We are going to Lauren’s house afterward for hot chocolate.

On Friday I need to do my laundry. I haven’t washed my clothes from the trip yet and I’m running out of things to wear. lol. I also need to wash my blankets and such. They are about due for a cleaning. So Friday will be a long laundry day not just a couple of hours. But that’s okay. I don’t have any plans to go anywhere. I just have a walk in the morning with Lauren and I might take a nap some time that day. I have a feeling I’ll be tired from working and the corn maze.

Josh Groban was on ‘The Office’ recently and I haven’t seen it yet but I’m sure he did a great job. The whole episode is on his website, via Hulu. I need to watch that sometime. Probably on Friday while I’m home. I think it’s great that Josh gets to do theatre/acting roles. That’s what Josh was going to school for before he dropped out to pursue his singing full-time. He loves both.

We have been watching ‘Person of Interest’ and I really like it. It’s a really interesting show. I love Jim Caviezel as a lead character. He hasn’t done small screen roles before this very often. There are a few odd jobs here and there but this show is his first big lead. I love it! I think Jim is a great looking guy. He’s 43 but I would not have guessed that. I thought he was in his mid-30s still. It seems like Jim has been on my actor radar for a while but he has only been acting in movies/tv since 1991. So in reality I would only know him from a few movies. I could probably name all the ones I have seen and heard of that he is in. I do remember seeing some movies, like Déjà vu, that Jim is in where I wasn’t expecting to see him. (He is awesome in that movie btw.)

Family Vacation - Tuesday

Everyone but me went to the Saint George temple this morning. I didn’t have my recommend with me. So when they all woke up around 6am or 6:30 I got to sleep in until 7:30am. I did throw on some clothes and eat breakfast with them. I had toast with peanut butter topped with bananas and some apple juice. I also grabbed a USA Today newspaper on my way into the breakfast room. It’s seems odd that I only read the newspaper when I’m in a hotel. But I really do love the paper. USA Today is my favorite. Anyways, I read that while I munched on my toast. On my way back I made myself a hot cocoa. That was about 8:30am. The family left for the temple around that time.

I turned on the tv really quick while I was getting ready and I got sucked into ‘Moonlight’ episodes. I love that show. Alex is so sexy. I finally showered after I watched a couple of episodes. Like I said, I got sucked in. They were showing the really good ones. lol. One of my favorite episodes was on. The one where you find out about Josef’s half-vamp girlfriend. I love Josef. He is so funny but he really cares too.

Since we are going to see ‘The Winter’s Tale’ this afternoon I needed to read the rest of the play before that. So I read for a couple of hours. I actually finished the book about ten minutes before we got to Cedar City. For this play they set it in more modern era so the actor’s were dressed in suits and pretty Victorian-esque dresses. It was really great for me. I was imagining as I read the play old-English clothes, not Victorian suits. So even though I just read the play I saw it differently. That was fun. The play itself is a great play. I loved seeing it. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. In the program there is a summary of the play. Mom and Dad read it. And I skimmed through it. Brian and Steven just watched the play. But they said they weren’t confused. They could follow along easily enough. It really is a pretty easy play to follow. A few of those actors were so cute, in and out of costume. lol.

We went to Red Robin for dinner and as always it was good. Brian actually got two burgers. It was pretty funny. He finished his first one and was still hungry so he got another one. For dessert we went to Iceberg and got ice cream shakes. Then we went to the Saint George temple visitor center. And then we went back to the hotel. We were going to go swimming or something. Mom and Dad went to bed early and I turned on the tv. So we didn’t go swimming. I ended up watching ‘Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension’. (It’s the movie.) It was okay. I prefer other shows to that but it was a nice random show to relax to.

I went to bed, and sleep shortly after, around 11:30pm. I got another blanket from room service because last night I got cold sleeping on the hide-a-bed/couch.

We are heading to Vegas tomorrow. We’ll leave here around 10am or 11am.

The Winter's Tale that we saw. It was really good.

Ticket stub.

My book. I really like the blue. It goes well with the winter theme. lol.

Cold Football

The past couple of days I have had off work. It's been nice. I have been relaxing and not liking the weather. lol. It turned cold here in Utah. The mountains have snow on them. I have also been packing for our family vacation we're having next week. I started packing yesterday but could not focus on it for the life of me. I just finished packing the main stuff tonight. I wrote a list of all the random extra stuff I need to pack Sunday night. You know things like toothbrush, makeup, camera, laptop. That sort of stuff. So I'm all packed for now. :)

There was a football game today that I worked. The game started at 1:30pm so I worked morning through halftime at about 3pm. It was busy. It was nice though. It made the time pass by quickly. When I left at halftime the Utes were losing. And it turns out they caught up and made it a close game until the very end. Then Arizona State University ran away with it. Final score: Sun Devils def. Utes, 35-14.

Right now I'm gonna clean up my room because while packing I made a mess of it. Then I'll sit down and watch the rest of LOTR with Dad. He is watching The Two Towers.

The Last Few Days and Working a Game

This week has been okay. I worked on Monday, as the previous post mentions, and I also worked on Wednesday. The tickets sold out for the game on Tuesday so my second day was pretty easy. I just had a couple of questions that weren't about tickets for the game today. I also got put in the system at work so I can get paid next week like everyone else. I couldn't quite get an ID yet at that time. It needed to be processed completely before they could give me one. With an ID I'll be able to ride the trax without having to pay for my ticket every time.

I watched 'Hawaii Five-0' on Wednesday. I thought it was really good. They have an added twist to the bad guy this season so it'll be interesting to see how that pans out this season. I would have watched 'Survivor' but Mom had some meetings. We watched that Thursday.

Yesterday I went up to the U of U after my walk and before the movie. I got my Uid. So that’s nice. I left my Uid number at home and no one was home so I asked Ammon to go in through the garage and look it up for me. But now that I have my id I’ll always have that id number with me now. And I don't have to pay for trax now.

Also yesterday I went to a movie with Ammon. We went to see ‘Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon’. I thought it was the best one of the four. I liked the comic relief of a few of the characters. If they weren’t in it the movie would be really boring. Afterward we went and ate a late lunch at Subway. I haven’t had Subway for a while. It was really good. I also had a Barg’s root beer that had caffeine in it. It was yummy. In Utah you can’t really find Barg’s with caffeine. They make it specially for Utah without it. So odd. I like it with caffeine. (What’s with the caffeine tangent? lol.)

General Conference is today and tomorrow. I listened to the first session but not the second. I was working this afternoon and lost track of time. I really liked the few talks I heard. They were great. It reminded me I need to be better at my personal scripture reading. And I really love President Thomas S Monson. He is always so funny when he speaks.

I worked today for our home game against the University of Washington. Today there were several people at work. There were a few tickets that we got back from Washington this morning. But a few days ago this game was sold out. We sold the tickets we got back pretty quickly too. By 1pm the game was completely sold out again. Something random that happened, the alarm button was accidentally pushed. So the police came and they had to reset the button. It was kind of funny. Two hours before the game actually started (which was 5pm today) we got the will call windows up and running. I was working the L-O window. It was really fun and easy working the will call window. You give people their tickets and take tickets people want to drop off. Pretty simple, really. An hour after kickoff it died down a lot. No one was really coming up and getting tickets. We closed at halftime. (They close at halftime on game days.) I didn't want to stay for the game, and probably never will, so I caught the next train home. I almost fell asleep on the train. I'm really surprised I didn't. lol.

And now as I type I am really falling asleep so I'm going to go to bed now. :)

PS. The Utes lost to the Huskies, 31-14.

First Day on the Job

Today was my first official day of working at my new job. I was really nervous this morning but once I got there I was okay. I tried not think about my nerves this morning. I rode the trax to work. It was nice. I got to read a book while travelling to work. And trax stopped right at the stadium so all I have to do is hop off and walk across the parking lot. lol. Today I worked from 2-6pm. I am answering phones right now. The questions were pretty easy to answer. There was only one guy, a Crimson Club member, who was getting frustrated with me and I him. So the other guy helped him. And he just ended up transferring him up to the Crimson Club people anyway. They know more about the club because they are the ones who handle all of that stuff. But yeah, the rest of the day was nice. I work again for a few hours on Wednesday and most of the day on Saturday. There is a football game on Saturday. The Utes play Washington State. It's our first PAC-12 home game. I was tired after work so I actually took a nap on the train coming home.

When I got home and ate some dinner and then headed off to FHE. It was a stake activity this week. They had a movie in the park. We watched 'Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark'. That's the best one I think. It was fun. We had a group of us sitting together. CJ, our cousin, found us too. He sat with us. There was a pretty random group sitting with us. Friends of friends and the such. It was great. Everyone was cheering and whooping at the good parts. It was really fun watching a movie with the whole stake. I hope they do that again. Next time I'm bringing more blankets. I did get a little cold at the end.

Being Sick Is Not Fun

Yesterday I wasn't feeling well at all. I woke up coughing in the morning because of a sore throat. And I was cold and tired all day. I also had various degrees of a headache too. It was not a very nice day. Near the end of church I was actually a little dizzy too. I ended up crashing and going to sleep around 9:30pm. I was so out of it. Today I woke up around 8:15am to go walking with Lauren and I still had a sore throat. I have been coughing randomly all day. But I have been trying to drink lots of water. (I did that yesterday too.) Today I didn't feel so lousy. I only had a sore throat. I wore a scarf pretty much the whole day to try and keep my neck warm. I always find that if my throat is sore like this, a warm neck helps it so I don't cough. But that's probably the singer in me warning against damaging anything too. I did it in high school. I still do it now. If it's still there tomorrow I'll definitely make some hot drink concoction and pray that this sore throat goes away soon. It hurts to eat anything because of the inflamed esophagus. lol.

Today I watched the men's final of the US Open. (See here.) It was so much fun! But I didn't get the outcome I wanted. But it was still a really great match and I wish them both nice recoveries.

I finished that match a little after Steven left for FHE and I had planned on borrowing a car and driving over myself. But Ammon actually came by to see if I wanted a ride. He watched the US Open too. But he didn't pause for dinner like I did. lol. But he came by because he saw Steven and Brian at FHE and not me. So he figured I was just finishing the match. And came to get me. It was very nice of him. And I thank him for thinking of me. :)

After FHE a few friends came back to our house and we watched 'G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra'. It's the second time I have seen it. I still think it is good. I LOVE Christopher Eccleston in this movie. He is evil and gets to wear dark suits. lol. And I just love his accent. It's so lovely. After the movie we had ice cream. It was yummy. (And was nice and cold for my throat.)

And now I'm coughing a lot over here. So time for water and bed. Maybe I'll suck on a peppermint for a bit.

US Open Super Saturday (and Friday)

Yesterday I went and saw 'Captain America' with Ammon. That's a good movie. I liked Nick Fury at the end. I'm looking forward to 'The Avengers' movie next year. We went to Arby's afterward and that was really tasty. I had a Mtn. Dew to drink and it was really, really tasty.

After Ammon dropped me off at home I started to watch yesterday's tennis matches. During the second match (Nadal's) the player stopped working on me. And because it was the end of the broadcast day I couldn't open it rewind like I normally could if it was still going. It was frustrating. After that we just watched random stuff on YouTube. It was great.

* * * * *

Today I was planning on watching the Men's semi-final matches. I woke up a little late so I was expecting the first match, between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, to be well under way. But it was raining and they had a delay. So I actually got to watch the matches live today. That was fun. The second semi was between Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray.

How about a play-by-play of sorts ... my commentary while I watched the matches ...

Roger Federer's day match outfit.
The first match started an hour late because of that slight rain delay. Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic were in full form and playing wonderfully. In the beginning both men were even. 1-1, 2-2, 3-2, Roger's favor. Lots of aces and one-two punches. Not a lot of long rallies. It was very interesting. I was rooting for Roger, because I always root for him, but the crowd didn't quite know who they were fully supporting yet. So it was very quiet in the crowd in the beginning. (Random comment, I thought Roger looked wonderful in his red shirt. The other matches I have seen him play in he wore grey. I liked him in red. He looks great. But a lot of his tennis matches he wears dark colors. Except for Wimbledon when they all wear mostly white. But yeah. Anyways ...) 27 mins into the match and they are still even. 4-4. The server has gotten the point so far in the match. Interesting. 35 mins, still even, 5-5. At 42 mins it's 6-6 so they go to a tiebreak. Tiebreak went 7-6 in Roger's at 55 mins. So Roger Federer gets the first set. So into the second set we go. 1 hr 9 mins Roger breaks Novak and gets his point. lol. Making the second set 2-1 in Roger's favor. He serves next. And Roger holds his own. 3-1 at the 1 hr 15 mins. (Ooh, someone fainted in the crowd. Sty hydrated, people. Stop distracting my match. And play on ...) 1 hr 20 mins 3-2, Roger's favor. 1 hr 25 mins, Novak breaks Roger's serve to make the score 3-3. They are even again. lol.  1 hr 29 mins, 4-3, Roger's favor, with Roger to serve. And he gets it. 5-3, Roger. 1 hr 37, 5-4, Roger's favor, Roger to serve. If he gets this point he gets the second set. And Roger does it. 1 hr 41 mins, 6-4, Roger gets the second set. Alright, Roger. One more set and you're in the finals. Novak serves first. 1-0, Novak. 1hr 54 mins, 2-0, Novak's favor. Now new balls with Novak to serve. 1 hr 57min, 3-0, Novak's doing good in this set. And a little bit later at 2 hrs 7 mins, Novak is still the set victor, 4-1. At 2 hrs 10 mins 4-2, Novak's favor. Roger is coming back in the set. But Novak still winning in the set, 2 hrs 13 mins, 5-2. Now 5-3, still Novak's favor. And at 2 hrs 23 mins, Novak takes the third set, 6-3. So we go to four sets. At 2 hrs 34 mins it's 2-1, Novak's favor. Novak to serve. Roger is not doing well. He isn't moving out on the court. Is it just hot and he is conserving energy? Come on, Roger, get in the set. Finish it. Don't go to five sets. Although that would be entertaining for tennis. At 2 hrs 40 mins, 4-1, still Novak's favor. 2 hrs 44 mins, 5-1, Novak. Come on, Roger. He needs some adrenalin rush or something. Gah! Roger! He's tired. The heat and that first set are getting to him. Something is. He has errors galore and he is moving like himself. 2 hrs 50 mins, 5-2, Novak's favor. I'd almost just say, Roger give him the set and win the last set. But at the same time that's too much of a risk for Roger. So stick it out and try and get the fourth set? Or concede it and win the fifth set? Either way that man needs energy. (lol. The commentators agree with me. Concede the fourth. Win the fifth. Go, Roger!) And at 2 hrs 57 mins Novak takes the fourth set, 6-3. So into the last and fifth set this match goes. It's some really good tennis going on here. But if Roger doesn't dig deep and find some energy he isn't going to make it. There was a flicker of some at the end of that set so maybe he found some. 3 hrs 1 min, 1-0, Roger's favor. That's good. Now the fans are really supporting this match as a whole but I think they want to see Roger win. 3 hrs 6 mins, 1-1. 2-2. It's like the first set again. Roger, Novak, Roger, Novak. lol. But both player's with less energy. 3 hrs 18 mins, 3-2, Roger's favor. Novak's serve to come. 3 hrs 24 mins 3-3. 3 hrs 25 mins, 4-3, Roger. Novak to serve. It's just like the first set. There is the Roger I know. Go Roger! Serving for the match, Roger. *bite nails* This is intense. Match points lost for Roger. 3 hrs 36 mins, 5-4, Roger. So we play on. Novak to serve next. 3 hrs 41 mins, 5-5. Gah! This is crazy. Come on, Roger! No! 3 hrs 46 mins, 6-5, Novak. With Novak to serve. If Roger gets this point it will force a tiebreak. If Novak gets the point he wins the match. Come on, Roger! *sends him happy thoughts* NO!!!! I wanted ROGER TO WIN NOT YOU!! Gahh!! *sigh* So at 3 hours and 51 minutes, five sets, Novak Djokovic wins the match. Novak Djokovic def. Roger Federer, 6-7, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 7-5. That was a crazy match to watch! Take a look at the stats ...

Sunset during the Nadal/Murray match. So pretty.

And now we get to watch the second semi-final of the day. Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray. I am of course rooting for my second favorite player, Rafa. He is the favorite to win this match so we'll see if Andy gives him any contest in this match. Alrighty. Let's get this show started. Andy serving first. 3 mins, Andy gets it, 1-0. 8 mins, 1-1. 17 mins, 2-1, Andy's favor. But already he, Andy, is getting frustrated with the way he is playing. And I agree with the commentators that that is the reason he isn't in the top three. Roger, Rafa, and Novak are so calm and collected when they play that they when matches with it. Among other things. But, yeah, Andy Murray's emotions during the game get the better of him some of the time. Anyways ... 22 mins, 2-2. 25 mins, 3-2, Andy's favor. Rafa to serve next. 36 mins, 3-3. Andy still being vocal and feisty with his emotions. Wow. Okay, calm down, Andy. Rafa just needs to keep calm and let Andy implode on himself and he, Rafa, has got this whole game wrapped up nicely. lol. (I shouldn't laugh but I do.) Andy does play good tennis but he needs to keep his head. 41 mins, 4-3, Rafa. Andy is still talking to himself in the change-over. Calm down. You're making me nervous. On the flip-side ... Go Rafa. Gets this guy out quickly. Please. And Rafa serves. 46 mins, 5-3, Rafa. Andy to serve. Again, commentators talking about Andy's emotions. And I had a thought... That's why I don't like watching him play. He gets angry easily. I am not a fan. I LOVE the calmness that Roger and Rafa bring to their games. At 49 mins, 5-4, Rafa. And Rafa to serve for the set. Go, Rafa. 55 mins, 6-4, Rafa gets the first set. On to the second set we go. Andy serving. He still talking and being frustrated with his playing. 1 hr 3 mins, 1-0, Andy. I love how Rafa is so calm out there. Man of no negative emotions ever. He is at the ready and set to play while Andy fumes on the other side of the court. Rafa is calm, he has a strategy and he can win this. And easily if Andy stays angry at his own game. 1 hr 13 mins, 1-1. Andy is very frustrated still. Andy to serve. (Wow. They just showed shots of the sunset there in NY and it is gorgeous.) 1 hr 17 mins, 2-1, Andy's favor. That was a great shot for the win from Andy. Hopefully that will help him calm down. Rafa serve now. And Andy still talking and being frustrated. Dude! Stop it! It's annoying. (Wow. More sunset shots.) 1 hrs 22 mins, 2-2, Rafa wins it with his first ace. Beautiful. Now Andy serving. Andy's game really falls apart when he is angry. His head isn't in the game. I have seen it in the past and I see it now. I know he can play better then this. (Yes, exactly! I agree with the commentator. Andy's frustration fits are childish. And it is sucking the life out of the audience. It's really hard to support a guy who is down on his game and himself.) 1 hrs 27 mins, 3-2, Rafa. Rafa to serve. 1 hrs 32 mins, 4-2, Rafa. Now Andy to serve. Rafa is playing some great shots in this match. Andy really needs some positive support, from his box, from the fans. He is not going to make it if he doesn't get his head in the game. I mean, Andy is playing okay tennis but Rafa is playing better. Rafa just made another great shot. 1 hr 40 mins, 5-2, Rafa. Rafa serving for the second set. And with a few aces Rafa gets the second set, 6-2, 1 hr 44 mins. So we go to the third set. Hopefully, this is the last set and Rafa can just take it quickly. I am really tired of watching Andy Murray implode on himself. Negative energy galore around that guy. I can only imagine the tension in the stadium right now. Murray to start serve in the third set. Hey, look at that. Andy got it. 1 hr 48 mins, 1-0, Andy. Now Rafa serves. Rafa made a great shot. Then Andy made a wonderful shot to win the point. 1 hr 54 mins, 2-0, Andy. Andy serves. Hmm ... Now Andy is playing good tennis. Not great but good. The rallies are getting longer. 1 hr 59 min 2-1, Rafa. And Rafa will be serving. Rafa is just the better player right now. 2 hrs 7 mins, 2-2. (... And here I take a giant pause from watching the game so I can make dinner and then go to a wedding reception. ... and I'm back ...) So in 2 hrs 11 min, we're in the third set, 3-2 Andy's favor at the moment. Rafa to serve. Some great points here. Really great rallies. 2 hrs 17 mins 3-3. 2 hrs 21 mins, 4-3, Andy. Rafa to serve. So Andy may still have frustration issues but he is playing some amazing shots. I think that is helping him get in this match. You know, I speak too soon. lol. Something happens every time I think Andy is okay and then he yells at himself. 2 hrs 27 mins, 5-3, Andy. Now his fans are getting behind him. Whatever. Come on, Rafa. Ooh, set point for Andy. And Rafa starts talking to himself. Positive things I'm sure. lol. Rafa is great. He saved two set points. But couldn't win in the end. Andy takes the third set in 2 hrs 33 mins, 6-3. So we go into a fourth set. Rafa serving first. Ooh. Some awesome shots from Rafa. A couple of aces. A beautiful drop shot was in there. 2 hrs 39 mins, 1-0, Rafa. Andy serves. Andy is really playing great now. He's completely different. Great shots. 2 hrs 42 mins, 1-1. Rafa to serve. Ooh, nice hustle, Rafa. And Andy comes up to bring it to deuce from 40-love in favor of Rafa. But Rafa prevails. 2 hrs 52 mins, 2-1, Rafa. Now Andy to serve. Back and forth volleys. 3 deuces. Andy changes his wristbands in the middle of a point. Odd. But, 3 hrs 3 mins. 3-1, Rafa. Now Rafa to serve. And he holds his set. 3 hrs 8 mins, 4-1, Rafa. Now Andy to serve. Wow. Rafa breaking Andy's serve with some great shots. He is so pumped at some of these shots. It's adorable. But Andy comes back to deuce it. Now Andy's back is hurt. This man is falling apart. (Really. Frustration and wardrobe problems.) But Andy gets the point in the end. 3 hrs 16 mins, 4-2, Rafa. Rafa to serve. 3 hrs 20 mins, 5-2, Rafa. Now he just needs to break Andy's serve and he'll win the match. And here we go. Andy serving. Let's break it down. 15-0, Rafa. 30-0, Rafa. 40-0, Rafa. Match point right here. And Rafa does it! He is in the final match! Yay!! So 3 hours 24 minutes, four sets, Rafael Nadal wins this match. (Rafa is so adorable in his interviews. Always gracious and all smiles. I love that he gave his condolences to the families and victims of 9/11. I wonder if he will try and go to Ground Zero like he does every year while he is here. Anyways ...) Rafael Nadal def. Andy Murray, 6-4, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2. Take a look at these stats ...

More sunset. Isn't it gorgeous?
And last shot of the sunset during the Nadal/Murray match.
So pretty.

I was rooting for a Federer/Nadal final on Monday. But that didn't happen. It turned into a Djokovic/Nadal match. It should be a great final on Monday. Both Rafa and Novak are great players. Novak has won over Rafa all year long this year. But Rafa is the defending US Open Champion. So it'll be fun to see who the crowd rallies behind. I'll be rooting for Rafa too win his second US Open.

Something different about the court today, The painted 9/11/01 on the court across from the chair umpire. It wasn't there until today. I like that the US Open is paying their respects in a small, visual way to the ten year anniversary of 9/11.

Today and Tennis Wishes

Today I didn't do much at all. I slept. I helped harvest our garden. Steven, Brian, and I watched 'Terminator Salvation' this afternoon. And this evening Brian and I watched 'Rudy'. I wished I could have watched tennis. I should have done my laundry. But I guess I'll have to make sure I do that tomorrow. I need to watch some tennis matches tomorrow. New York City got a lot of rain today so the US Open suspended all of today's matches until tomorrow. That is actually really good for Rafael Nadal. He had an unfortunate cramping incident on Sunday. With this extra day he should be all recovered and ready to play. But also with the shuffling of matches to fit two days worth of matches in Rafa and Roger Federer get to play on the same day. Yay for me! I get to watch my two favorite tennis players within hours of each other. I hope they both make it far. I love watching them play. I watched Roger's match last night. It was really quick but fun to watch. I love watching that man play. He is so fluid and awesome.

Babysitting and my Evening

I watched baby Joshua today. I got to their, aka my friend Laura's, apartment at 7am. Joshua was awake at that point. At about 8:30pm he finished his breakfast. I was holding him and he fell asleep in my arms. It was adorable. That was at 9:30am.

I watched 'Ramona and Beezus' today too. (While Josh was asleep.) I remember reading this book a long, long time ago. It was cute. The movie was really cute too.

At 10:30am Joshua was still sleeping so I got some breakfast. As I was looking for some cereal I found pancake mix so I made a couple pancakes to eat. They were yummy. I used a little pan and the second pancake took up the whole thing. It was awesome! :)

At 11:30am I checked on Joshua again. He was still sleeping and so out of it. I asked Laura if I should wake him up. She said just let him sleep for as long as he wants. So I watched tv while I ate my breakfast.

Then I was going to watch 'Stargate SG-1' but I decided while I have two hands free I might play on their Xbox for a bit. They only have three or four Xbox games and none of them looked like my cup of tea at all. (I mean really. Can you see me getting into 'Call of Duty' or 'Halo'. Actually I think I have played 'Halo' before and it wasn't bad. I did enjoy 'Battlefield: Bad Company' more then those games. But I never really liked the shooter games because you have to use one joystick to aim and the other to look around. I've never been good at that. lol.) But, in the end, I noticed that they have 'Hexic' on their Xbox so I abandoned any thought of playing a shooter game and played that instead. I love that game. I played the survival mode for a long time. It was fun. I love puzzle games.

Joshua woke up around 2pm. He gets cuddly when he first wakes up. So I held him. I fed him a bottle and we walked outside. Then played with his toys for a while.

Dylan and Laura both got home around 4pm. Joshua also went to sleep again around that time. I was still playing Hexic on and off all day.

After Dylan did his homework we decided to figure out if we could hook the Nintendo Game Cube to the tv. We were missing a cable. But we found the ones we needed for the Nintendo 64. So we played 'Bomberman' for a few minutes. Then I decided I should go home.

I made it home in time for some dinner and to head off to FHE. It was a stake one tonight. They had a concert type thing. I was very tired so I debated going in the first place. But I decided I need to see my friends and socialize. (Plus it's good practice for when I get a job again and I'll be working all day.) It was odd because I saw two of my cousins there. We see Corby all the time at stake activities but Becca is always elsewhere in life. But she was home today and came to the party. It was fun to see her. Steven and Brian got hung up afterward and I was very tired so Ammon gave me a ride home. Because he is nice like that. (Thanks.)

And now I'm writing and proofreading and adding the links to this post. (It's one of those ones that I have been writing all day as things happen. I do that a lot. lol.) And my tension/tired headache is starting to kick in so I guess I'll go to bed now.

Overall, I had a great day today. :)

Cookie Day

Today I wanted to make cookies so I made these Oreo stuffed cookies. They are actually quite good. Warm Oreos are really good but very rich. They definitely require milk. lol.

We also watched 'Ella Enchanted' after milk and cookies. I LOVE the book but the movie doesn't do it justice at all. I can read the book in a day. It's really short. But great. Gail Carson Levine writes it wonderfully. I like her novels. Anyway the original Ella Enchanted book is awesome. I really like it. So I decided when I'm a millionaire I am going to remake this movie along with 'Eragon' because both movies deviate from their books a lot.
