Changes to [Behind] the Blog

Blogger has a new dashboard and behind the blog/scene interface. I have to get used to the new layout now. And writing my Saturday posts are gonna take a little bit of thinking for the next few times. I have the next month or so all ready so hopefully by the time I start writing more I'll really have the hang of this. But when I'm just writing a new post I think it's fine. The buttons and things are a lot simpler. I like them. And I like how the post options (labels, schedule, etc) are to the right now. They are much easier to find and use. Before you had to scroll to the bottom of the post. I like this set up a lot more. It is much more user friendly, I think. I also like that when you preview the posts it previews directly in your blog as it will look. I can see if my formatting is right before I even publish anything. With the old one if I wasn't sure I just had to post it then edit it. And when you look at the list of posts in edit it's a lot nicer now too. Overall, I love this new interface a lot.

PS. AND when you post it the time automatically changes to when you post it not when you start writing the post. I LOVE IT!! I would have to go back and change the time on the older interface. I LOVE this new feature the most I think.

Thoughts on Pain and Stuff

I thought I had a few more days before this crap took a hold of me. Headaches are not my friend. Chocolate and sleep is. At least it is a blessing in disguise. I won't feel like crap when we're at Bear Lake this weekend. I can enjoy playing in the water and perhaps knee boarding again.

Today I slept a lot which was in direct correlation with the a fore mentioned topic. I have headache all day. I took some ibuprofen a couple of hours ago. I think I'll take some more before bed.

Last week Mom tripped and hurt her knee. It has been hurting her still so she went to the doctor to have it checked out. They didn't think it was broken but she might have torn a ligament. She got a shot of Cortisone and an x-ray. So she'll know in a day of two if she tore her knee. Hopefully the drugs kick in and she gets better. I know it hurts her. She doesn't walk up and down stairs with out wincing a little. Mom bruises super easily and I'm hoping it just a really weird bruise and it'll get better with the Cortisone. Mom and Dad don't need any more problems then they already have. And I love my Mom and I don't want her in more pain.

I watched a couple of episodes of 'Stargate' tonight. I liked them. They were good.

My brothers and I have also been watching 'Firefly'. It's really funny and good. It is making me really want to watch 'Castle' because Nathan Fillion is the lead character in both shows. And I just think he such a cute guy. He is funny, good looking, and a great actor.

Babysitting and my Evening

I watched baby Joshua today. I got to their, aka my friend Laura's, apartment at 7am. Joshua was awake at that point. At about 8:30pm he finished his breakfast. I was holding him and he fell asleep in my arms. It was adorable. That was at 9:30am.

I watched 'Ramona and Beezus' today too. (While Josh was asleep.) I remember reading this book a long, long time ago. It was cute. The movie was really cute too.

At 10:30am Joshua was still sleeping so I got some breakfast. As I was looking for some cereal I found pancake mix so I made a couple pancakes to eat. They were yummy. I used a little pan and the second pancake took up the whole thing. It was awesome! :)

At 11:30am I checked on Joshua again. He was still sleeping and so out of it. I asked Laura if I should wake him up. She said just let him sleep for as long as he wants. So I watched tv while I ate my breakfast.

Then I was going to watch 'Stargate SG-1' but I decided while I have two hands free I might play on their Xbox for a bit. They only have three or four Xbox games and none of them looked like my cup of tea at all. (I mean really. Can you see me getting into 'Call of Duty' or 'Halo'. Actually I think I have played 'Halo' before and it wasn't bad. I did enjoy 'Battlefield: Bad Company' more then those games. But I never really liked the shooter games because you have to use one joystick to aim and the other to look around. I've never been good at that. lol.) But, in the end, I noticed that they have 'Hexic' on their Xbox so I abandoned any thought of playing a shooter game and played that instead. I love that game. I played the survival mode for a long time. It was fun. I love puzzle games.

Joshua woke up around 2pm. He gets cuddly when he first wakes up. So I held him. I fed him a bottle and we walked outside. Then played with his toys for a while.

Dylan and Laura both got home around 4pm. Joshua also went to sleep again around that time. I was still playing Hexic on and off all day.

After Dylan did his homework we decided to figure out if we could hook the Nintendo Game Cube to the tv. We were missing a cable. But we found the ones we needed for the Nintendo 64. So we played 'Bomberman' for a few minutes. Then I decided I should go home.

I made it home in time for some dinner and to head off to FHE. It was a stake one tonight. They had a concert type thing. I was very tired so I debated going in the first place. But I decided I need to see my friends and socialize. (Plus it's good practice for when I get a job again and I'll be working all day.) It was odd because I saw two of my cousins there. We see Corby all the time at stake activities but Becca is always elsewhere in life. But she was home today and came to the party. It was fun to see her. Steven and Brian got hung up afterward and I was very tired so Ammon gave me a ride home. Because he is nice like that. (Thanks.)

And now I'm writing and proofreading and adding the links to this post. (It's one of those ones that I have been writing all day as things happen. I do that a lot. lol.) And my tension/tired headache is starting to kick in so I guess I'll go to bed now.

Overall, I had a great day today. :)

Plans of Days Past and Future

Friday was pretty typical. But I did go over to Laura's house and hang out again. That was fun. We are planning on doing that more often.

Yesterday was really fun. And tiring. Dad wanted to go boating early in the morning so that the lake would be smoother, less choppy. So we got up around 6am and left around 6:30am. We got to Deer Creek a little after 7am. Chad came with us but he had to leave around 8am. The boys said it was really nice skiing/boarding on smooth water. I even got out on the knee board. It was my first time doing that. I like sitting in the boat or maybe going out on the tube. But I've never skied or boarded before. It was fun. My legs got tired though. And I think I bruised my knee on that. lol. I've got all kinds of little bruises on my legs now. I guess I'll plan on wearing a long skirt to church today.

Laura has asked that I watch Joshua on Monday and Tuesday. So I'll be getting up early again for the next couple of days. But that'll be fun.

Saturday Songs: You're The Inspiration

You're The Inspiration
by Chicago

You know
our love was meant to be
the kind of love that lasts forever.
And I want you here with me from tonight
until the end of time.
You should know
everywhere I go

Always on my mind
in my heart
in my soul
baby.
You're the meaning in my life
you're the inspiration.
You bring feeling to my life
you're the inspiration.
Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me sayin':
No one needs you more than I need you.

And I know
yes
I know that it's plain to see:
So in love when we're together.
Now I know that I need you here with me
From tonight until the end of time.
You should know
[ From : http://www.elyrics.net/read/c/chicago-lyrics/you_re-the-inspiration-lyrics.html ]
everywhere I go

Always on my mind
you're in my heart
in my soul.
You're the meaning in my life. you're the inspiration. . . .

Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me sayin':
No one needs you more than I need you.
You're the meaning in my life
you're the inspiration.
You bring feeling to my life
you're the inspiration.

When you love somebody 'til the end of time

When you love somebody
always on my mind

No one needs you more than I.

When you love somebody 'til the end of time ...
When you love somebody 'til the end of time ...

I like this song a lot. Yes, it was made in the early 80's but I still love it. David Foster wrote it with Peter Cetera. It a beautiful song. I love anything David writes. He really knows how to create a hit. :)

The video is just a boring lyric video I found ... I didn't like the one that was originally made for the song. It's so 80's. lol. I don't like this one either. It's so hokey. Maybe I'll redo the video someday. But for now ...

Cookie Day

Today I wanted to make cookies so I made these Oreo stuffed cookies. They are actually quite good. Warm Oreos are really good but very rich. They definitely require milk. lol.

We also watched 'Ella Enchanted' after milk and cookies. I LOVE the book but the movie doesn't do it justice at all. I can read the book in a day. It's really short. But great. Gail Carson Levine writes it wonderfully. I like her novels. Anyway the original Ella Enchanted book is awesome. I really like it. So I decided when I'm a millionaire I am going to remake this movie along with 'Eragon' because both movies deviate from their books a lot.

Cayden and stuff

Today was okay. I looked for jobs and watched 'Stargate.' Also, Lauren and I moved our walks to half an hour earlier. So I got up at about 8:15am. It was nice walking at that time because it wasn't as hot.

Tonight I babysat my nephew, Cayden, few a couple of hours. We watched 'Cars' because he love "Queen" (Lightning McQueen) and cars in general. Half way through he got bored or something, he stopped paying attention to the movie so we went on a walk. And then when we came inside we watched the rest of the movie. I should mention that Cayden is two years old so he has a somewhat short attention span sometimes. But he is a cutie. After the movie we played outside for a bit. Cayden wanted to feed the horses apples because someone (*cough* Grandpa/Dad *cough*) showed him that a little while ago. Cayden just thinks it's the most awesome thing in the world to feed the horses. The problem tonight was that the horses who roam around in the back weren't there. Cayden kept asking about the "Neighs" so after we played with the ball we grabbed a couple of fallen whole apples and went around to our neighbor's backyard. They have two horses. We, I, threw the apples, one at a time, over the fence and we watched the horses eat the apples. After that we came back to the yard and played with my yoga ball outside. Cayden likes that ball. It's giant and bouncy. (It's not really meant to be outside. But I figure a two year old kicking it around on grass for a few minutes won't hurt it. The ball does need to be filled with air. But that too can wait since it's not really in use. Anyways ...) After Cayden and I were outside we came inside and I was running out of ideas. I knew that everyone should be home in a few minutes I just had to distract him for a little bit longer. So I pulled out our bucket of toy cars. He loved that. Then people came home and we had ice cream. Overall, I had fun watching Cayden. But it is a lot of work trying to keep a toddler interested and not asking where his mother is every five minutes. Seriously, he was sort of clingy. But he didn't through a fit or anything. He just kept asking. And I would answer. lol.

Shopping and TV

This morning I had fun dreams while my body was trying to wake up. lol.

Steven started school this week so he has been home in the mornings before his class. Today he just had a study group that didn't meet because there is nothing to discuss. So instead of that he went shopping and we, Mom, Brian and I, came too. It was okay until near the end. I got bored.

We got home from shopping around 3:30pm and we watched the last few episodes of 'White Collar' Season One. It's due back to the library tomorrow. I tried to renew it but it wouldn't let me. So we had to watch all three episodes today. But we have watched that many (or more) at one time so it's all good.

I also watched a couple of episodes of 'Stargate SG-1'. There was one part I was very intrigued with but that just me being girly. lol.

My hollow book is almost done. I was thinking about it today but I didn't work on it. I'll finish it tomorrow.

And now that it is almost 11pm I should go to bed. I have been trying to go to bed earlier. And walking in the morning (on MWT) helps ensure that because I have to get up earlier. I can't sleep in or I'll feel bad that I made Lauren wait.

Monday, August 22, 2011

Meh Monday

Today was so exciting. *sarcastic tone used*

I did work on my hollow book more. Now I just have to decide if it's done or if I want to add one more "embellishment" to it.

I watched two episodes of 'Torchwood' today. Episode six and seven of season four. It was interesting watching them so close together because they are really starting to tie into one another really, really well. This season is so good! It's really intriguing.

Tonight after FHE, which was a BBQ, a few of us came back home, here, and watched a movie. We watched 'The Emperor's New Groove'. It was great. We all knew the lines but we were still laughing at the funny parts. I haven't seen this movie in so long. Did you know it's only 78 minutes long. I forgot it was that short.

Tomorrow I am going to hang out with Kimberlee for a bit so that will be fun. I think she is "kidnapping" to the hospital so I can check out the volunteer positions. She volunteers there on Fridays and she says it's nice.

Sunday, August 21, 2011

Meh Sunday

Today was good. Church was good. My little brother, Brain, got ordained an Elder in church today. He goes through the temple for his endowments on Wednesday. I don't have my endowments so I cannot participate in that. I get to stay home and watch the toddler. But that'll be fun.

I didn't do anymore work on that book like I wanted to today. I will tomorrow. I also have several ideas on what to use the cut out pages for. I'll see if that idea works after I finish the hollow book.

I did get to watch four episodes of 'White Collar' (one whole disc) tonight. That was nice. Now we just have three more episodes and the first season will be done. Which reminds me, I haven't watched any of the current season for a few weeks. Ditto on 'Torchwood'. I guess I'll be watching some tv shows tomorrow as well.

Right now this makeup is starting to make me sleepy. So I'm going to go take it off and then go to sleep.

This and That

Today Ammon, Kimberlee, and I went bowling. It was fun. I haven't been for a while. My thumb tip sort of is numb now. That always happens after a play a few games.

I watched a couple of Stargate episodes today. One of them was quite strange. lol.

I think I'll go to bed a little early today. I'm starting to get a headache.

Tomorrow I want to finish that hollow book. I have to glue the inside pages together then it's pretty much done.

Saturday Songs: Skyscraper

Skyscraper
by Demi Lovato

Skies are crying
I am watching
Catching teardrops in my hands
Only silence as it's ending, like we never had a chance
Do you have to, make me feel like there is nothing left of me?

You can take everything I have
You can break everything I am
Like I'm made of glass
Like I'm made of paper
Go on and try to tear me down
I will be rising from the ground
Like a skyscraper!
Like a skyscraper!

As the smoke clears
I awaken, and untangle you from me
Would it make you, feel better to watch me while I bleed?
All my windows, still are broken
But I'm standing on my feet

You can take everything I have
You can break everything I am
Like I'm made of glass
Like I'm made of paper
Go on and try to tear me down
I will be rising from the ground
Like a skyscraper!
Like a skyscraper!

Go run, run, run
I'm gonna stay right here
Watch you disappear, yeah
Go run, run, run
Yeah it's a long way down
But I am closer to the clouds up here

You can take everything I have
You can break everything I am
Like I'm made of glass
Like I'm made of paper, Oh
Go on and try to tear me down
I will be rising from the ground
Like a skyscraper!
Like a skyscraper!

Like a skyscraper!
Like a skyscraper!

* * * * *

I really like this song. The music is amazing and I really think Demi dug deep in herself and wrote a great song. This is what she has needed to do in order to break into main stream music. I like that it's a song of hope and not just putting down the hurt that a person is going through. The chorus says it best.
You can take everything I have
You can break everything I am
Like I'm made of glass
Like I'm made of paper
Go on and try to tear me down
I will be rising from the ground
Like a skyscraper!

PS. The video is beautiful too. And she looks a lot different then I remember her looking. I actually think she is pretty now.

The Past Few Days

Wednesday ... Not much happened. I looked for jobs like I do all the time. I decided to make a hollow book so I started that. And last night some friends came over and we watched 'Pride and Prejudice'. It was the version with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen. I love that version. I need to buy it some time.

Thursday ... aka: yesterday ...

I finished watching season two of 'Stargate SG-1' in the morning. And I also watched the second part of the story in episode one of the third season.

I started cutting out the pages in the hollow book. I needed to find a newly bladed knife first though. But I know where Dad keeps them in the garage so that was easy. Although I didn't find any fresh blades with those x-acto knives. I know he has some somewhere. I should buy some replacement blades for my own knife.

Over at Spoonflower they were having their free swatch day. (Free shipping too.) So I tried to think if I wanted to order a custom design of my own or one of the fabrics I have been wanting. I ended up going with this lovely Gallifrey-esque fabric. I think this fabric might go on the back of my TARDIS quilt, when I ever make that. I have also thought it would be fun fabric for a tote bag. (Like this one here. Gallifrey fabric would be the lining and bottom. And solid blue for the "main" part of the bag.)

Friday ... aka: today ...

I was going to watch Laura's baby, Joshua, all day today. But Laura got "sick" and so she didn't go into work. I still went over for most of the day but not until around 11am. (lol. I realize that makes it sounds like Laura just took a day off. But she didn't. She has a kidney stone that kept her up all night.) We watched 'Bones' throughout the day and that was fun. I haven't hung out with Laura for a long time. It was fun.

I brought along that hollow book I've been working on. It's closer to being done. I finished cutting through all the pages. I actually didn't realize I was to the end and cut a little bit into the back cover. But I'll just glue it back together and it will be just fine. Really, it will.

I'm really tired right now. It's after 11pm and my brain isn't functioning and I'm falling asleep. I guess I should go to bed. :)

Random Today

Today I slept in. That's fine. But I don't feel to well today. At about 6pm I had a really bad headache. Even after I ate dinner I had a headache. It was sort of a migraine too because light and sound made it hurt. Lots of my headaches are small migraines. Very rarely do they turn into really bad migraines. Every Sunday I actually feel like I get a tiny one near the end of church. It's the florescent lights that make it bad, I think. But yeah, I have had that all day.

Today my friend, Laura, asked if I could watch her baby, Joshua, on Friday. And afterward hang out that evening. So that'll be fun. I haven't seen her in a long time. But I have to be to her house before 7am. So I have to get ready really early. (Oh, which reminds me, I need to Lauren I can't go walking that day. I'll tell her Wednesday morning.)

Tonight we, my brothers and I, watched a couple more episodes of 'White Collar'. And then I watched more 'Stargate SG-1' episodes.

I really need to read more plays or else this idea is going to be a two year thing and not just a one year thing. lol.

LOTR

We finished 'Lord Of The Rings' tonight. It was sort of odd starting the movie in the middle. The third movie is SO long. I like the scenes in the end of the movie. The House of Healing scene is my favorite scene. Aragorn heals people because he is awesome and knows the art of healing. Also the song in that scene is sung by Liv Tyler. She has such a lovely voice. Also I like when Aragorn sings during his coronation. I think Viggo Mortensen has a lovely, rough voice. :)

lol. None of that makes sense. ... And it's now after midnight and I'm falling asleep, so I'm going to go to bed now.

More

Three posts in four hours? ... Yep. That's me. ...

I was invited to watch a movie with some friends tonight. We watched 'Serenity'. It is a movie that ties together with a tv show called 'Firefly' but I'm told they can stand apart from each other. I just loved that Nathan Fillion was the lead character. I love him in 'Castle'! He is charming and fun at the same time. (I can't wait until the third season starts. They left us with a huge cliffhanger.)

Also I wanted to mention that I like this blog. I let myself be spontaneous and have lots of posts if the mood strikes me. I never really let myself do that with any of my other blogs. Maybe that's why I got bored of them. Hopefully, this will be my main blog for a long time.

Saturday Songs: With You

With You
by Josh Groban

Sometimes I remember reasons I let you go
Inside them I see your face and all I really know
I was scared to share the love I have inside of me
Through all the heartache I know that I was meant to be

With you
I have everything I’ve ever wanted
Simple and true with you
Crying eyes so beautiful
It’s you who always thought our love would see us through

If I could follow my heart again it would be yours
With every breath I would find a way to love you more
I can’t imagine life without your silent bravery
And I’m grateful for every moment that I get to be

With you
I have everything I’ve ever wanted
Simple and true with you
Loving eyes so beautiful
It’s you who always find a way

And if the stars should disappear
In the dark I’ll still be here
Forever in your arms where I belong

With you
I have everything I’ve ever wanted
Simple and true with you
Loving eyes so beautiful
It’s you who always knew our love would see us through

With you
With you

I LOVE this song. It's on Josh's Valentine's Day CD of the same name. He wrote the song himself and I beleieve he even plays the piano on the track. I love to listen to this song. The melody is gorgeous.

PS. Not my video. I'll get another one up later.

Things and Josh

This morning Steven found out about a gaming thing that was going on today (and yesterday) for free. So we went to check it out. Nerdapalooza was interesting. It was more like a LAN party with some people. If you wanted to play the games you had to bring your own PC. We just went to watch. But most (if not all) of the tournaments were over with when we got there. We wanted to go and see the last of the Starcraft II tournament. But I also think, if we knew about it sooner, the Brawl and Magic The Gathering ones would have been fun to watch and/or participate in. I'm pretty good at Brawl. It would have been fun to play with other people. But then again they are all probably better then I am. But I would have had fun trying to float away and suck them up at the same time. I like playing with Kirby. They were also playing Portal II. It made me want to play the game. I have actually never played Portal but I have watched Steven play it. It looks fun. And it's puzzley. I like puzzles.

Every Saturday Classical 89 plays an opera live. And today they did Rigoletto. I wanted to listen to when I heard about it last week. I like listening to the good operas. :) Anyways, I got my MP3 player and listened to that for the couple of hours it took. It's got great music. I think I enjoyed listening to Carmen (which was played a while ago) the most so far. Carmen has AWESOME music. Too bad I don't know Italian/French/whatever language they do the opera in. It's a good thing the hosts give a little overview of the opera before each act. It helps me not feel so lost. lol.

As mentioned yesterday, I got 'White Collar' season one from the library today. Steven and Brian started watching it with me. I have seen some of these episodes but I didn't know they were from the very first season. They're good. I like that Mozzie is helping Neal but Peter doesn't get to meet him yet. That'll be an interesting episode. :)

Josh Groban is doing a concert here in Salt Lake tonight. The concert starts soon actually. I really hope that he has an awesome time and everyone has fun at the concert. I'll have to live through all of them because obviously I'm not there or I wouldn't be typing this now. I am listening to 'Illuminations' right now though. I'm having my own mini-concert in between watching tv and getting dinner. Also I'm getting that JG Saturday Song post up. ...

Typical With Random Other Stuff

Today was a pretty typical Friday. I went on a walk this morning, looked for jobs, watched tv ...

I plan on switching tomorrow's Saturday Songs post for a Josh Groban song in honor of his coming to Utah tomorrow. So that's fun. :) I haven't decided on which one I want to do. Maybe 'You Are Loved' or 'Thankful'. Ooh! I think I'll do 'With You'. It's such a sweet song and I LOVE it.

I put the previous seasons of 'White Collar' on hold at the library. And today the complete first season is there. So tomorrow I plan on going to check that out. Which means 'Stargate SG-1' might be put on hold while I watch those. Because they (as in 'White Collar') have to go back to the library soon.

!!!

I love how exclamation marks (aka: these. --> !!!!!! <--) look like lines. lol. You can't tell in this font that it's really punctuation.

Josh!

Josh Groban comes to Salt Lake City on Saturday! ♥ I'm really excited! Sadly, I don't have tickets to his show. But at least he'll be here. :)

Stargate

I watched Stargate tonight. It was very interesting watching the movie after I have seen a season and a bit of the tv series. lol. The minor differences are hilarious, in my mind. Also I understand more of what the team was talking about in the first episode. But since I have seen this movie before I barely remembered anyway. I knew what they were talking about when I first began the series, sort of. This movie tonight was a fun refresher on what that first Stargate mission was about. :) I love how the characters are the same. Although I really like that Jack is way funnier in the tv show then in the movie.

Stargate SG-1 randomness

I think I have seen 'Secrets' before. It looked SO familiar while I was watching it. But if I saw it on tv it would probably have been a rerun somewhere because in 1998 when it originally aired I was 10. lol.

...
"Actress Vaitiare Bandera was really pregnant during the filming of this episode, with the child of co-star Michael Shanks (who plays her character's husband in the series)." (as found here)
Shut UP!! They really were together and that child was really theirs?! Well, no wonder why I believe Daniel when he tells Sha're he loves her. And the way they look at each other ... I thought it was really good acting but it was REAL! That's so cool.

*giggles like a school girl*

Wednesday, August 10, 2011

Hello, hello.

How is everyone doing? Good? Good.

Today I went on a walk with Lauren, like we do every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Afterward I had a strawberry fruit bar, sort like a popsicle, because it sounded really good. And it was really good. While I ate that I checked out Facebook and my email. Then I got ready for the day. It was a fun morning.

This afternoon was slow and boring. I looked for jobs, hopped around random websites (finding this, this, and this) and watched Stargate SG-1. I'm on season two right now. I think tomorrow I am going to "go back in Stargate time" and watch the Stargate movie. I really should have started with that. I was actually going to watch it before I started the tv series but I forgot. But I remembered today so that should be fun. It'll be odd having different actors play the characters but that's okay. I really like the actors who play Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson. Richard Dean Anderson and Michael Shanks are very good looking men. And they are great actors. Actually the whole SG-1 team are great actors. There is Jack O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson), Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks), Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping), and Teal'c (Christopher Judge). And yeah. Now I want to go watch a few more episodes. It's really good.

But first ... the rest of my day ...

This evening, around 8pm, my ward (and stake) was playing softball. I went to cheer the team on. I took Satine with me because I had been holding her for about an hour prior to that. I got her out to rub in some oil-stuff to help her shed her body. And I just continued to hold her. lol. It was interesting having her at the game. Because some people wanted to hold her and some people freaked out just seeing her. It was funny. I guess people don't see other people walk around with live snakes wrapped around their wrist that often. lol.

Satine

Last night I pulled Satine out and held her for a bit. I was getting concerned because she should have started to shed (ie. got rid of the digested mice) sooner then yesterday. I checked her. She is fine. She did have a bit of a respiratory problem but I checked her this morning and that red vein isn't so red in her mouth. So I'm hoping that cleared up. But I must have helped Satine with her bowel movements by holding her last night. She left the biggest poop I have ever seen in the tank. lol. Seriously, I was wondering how it came out of her. And she started to peel off her outer layer overnight too. She got it off her head but not her body. She was never an overall milky color so I figured that would happen. This morning when I was cleaning out her cage I put Satine around my neck/shoulders so that I could have two hands to get stuff out of the tank. She was cold. lol. And she snuggled close to my neck. aka: She constricted and tried to take in the warmth. lol. It felt really weird because she still has dead skin/shedding on her stomach and it felt weird when she was moving around. And then when I was ready to put her back in the clean tank she wouldn't uncurl from my neck. She really wanted to stay there. lol. I'll have to measure her tomorrow or something. It'd be interesting to know how big she is now. She's about two and half or three years old. I'd have to figure that out too. lol.

Here are a couple of photos taken a few minutes ago of Satine. She's curled up because she's a little cold. And she's resting. You can see some of the dead skin sticking up in the first photo.

Slow Day

Today I didn't do much. I looked for jobs and took a really long nap. I didn't do my laundry because I was debating to do the one load or not. I only have half the week of clothes because last week I did my washing on Wednesday instead of Monday. Perhaps I'll sneak this one load in before Mom gets up and starts doing her laundry. Because it really should get done tonight or early tomorrow.

Tonight we watched the first disk of the third Lord Of The Rings. It was still over two hours. We decided that the extended edition stops at a really good point in the middle. And it's a good movie length so we split it into two parts. The disk has to change right before the Battle of Pelennor Fields gets really started. It is a good spot to have an intermission in this really long movie. I can't wait until next time because some of my favorite scenes are on the last disk. Lots of Aragon. lol.

Writing?

Why is it that every time I feel like writing I always feel like I am mixing about five different ideas from books I have read? It always stops me from writing. I don't want to copy anyone's ideas. I want my own original idea. *sigh* I guess I'll start working on my memoir then. lol. That is my life so I can write about it and it will be original. lol. I have wanted to start that for a few years now. I think I even started a timeline once. But I don't have it anymore. (That's a good idea. A timeline. It'll be a quick reference to key points in my life, where they happened, key people involved. Yep. I'm gonna start working on that timeline today.) And I know my life so far is pretty average so it's not going to be the most interesting memoir. But I want to write it. And if anything, hopefully, my children and grandchildren find it interesting.

It's probably about the only thing I can concentrate on today. I am so tired today. I hate it. I ache all over and I just want to sleep until the middle of next week.

Saturday Songs: See No More

See No More
by Joe Jonas

It was Saturday when I got that call
Far away from feeling small
I know, I know, I know what the truth is, yeah
I tried to look away from what you did
Heartache became my friend

You walked away from me baby
I would've never done the same
You made me feel like our love was not real
You threw it all away, so ...

I don't wanna wait for you
I don't wanna wake up thinkin, hopin
You'll get it right this time
'Cause you know that you’re so cold
I don't wanna see no more
And I can’t get away from you

It's one of the reasons why
That I just can't get you out my mind
And all I keep seein is your picture
But I don't wanna see no more
But I don't wanna see no more
I don't wanna see no more
I don't wanna see no more

It was so easy to trust you baby
Guess I was so stupid baby
I didn't ever think that this would come
You’re runnin right to another one
You walked away from me baby
You threw it all away, so

I don't wanna wait for you
I don't wanna wake up thinkin, hopin
You'll get it right this time
'Cause you know that you’re so cold
I don't wanna see no more
And I can’t get away from you

It's one of the reasons why
That I just can't get you out my mind
And all I keep seein is your picture
But I don't wanna see no more
But I don't wanna see no more
I don't wanna see no more
I don't wanna see no more
I don't wanna see no more

I used to be afraid of letting go
The fragile part me, I’m here right now
I need you to set me free
I can see it in your eyes
That you won’t blame on me this time
No, never
And I want you back but I won’t look back, no

I don't wanna wait for you
I don't wanna wake up thinkin, hopin
You'll get it right this time
'Cause you know that you’re so cold
I don't wanna see no more
And I can’t get away from you

It's one of the reasons why
That I just can't get you out my mind
And all I keep seein is your picture
But I don't wanna see no more
But I don't wanna see no more
I don't wanna see no more
I don't wanna see no more
Well, I don't want to see no more

I love this song. Every time I heard it on the radio when it first came out I always wondered who sang it but I never took the time to look it up. Then the DJ mentioned that Joe Jonas was the singer and it made me happy. I am glad he is kick starting his solo career with an awesome single. I hope the whole CD, of the same name, is just as good or better.

Movies and Sugar

This morning Lauren and I changed our walk to 9:30am, instead of 9am, so that we could drop by the library around 10am, when it opened. And I awoke to the doorbell at 10am. I feel really bad that I slept in and we weren't able to go this morning. At least Lauren got in a little walk coming to my house to see what was going on with me. She texted me but I was so out of it then. I even woke up at 8am when my alarm went off. I should have tried and stayed up. But I was so tired. I just snoozed my alarm and rolled over and went back to sleep. ... Lauren, if you're reading this, I really am very, very sorry. It's all my fault for not going to bed when the movie was over last night. Well, that and a certain something else. But yeah. All my fault. So sorry.

So on that note I was up at 10am but didn't start the day (shower, breakfast) until closer to 11am. I was checking email and Facebook while I fully awoke more. But then I got more ready for the day.

Ammon came to get me for the movie around 12:30pm. I thought that 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' was very good. I still really like the first one but this fourth one was better then the second and third one. It was funny and had a good plot. It was great. I really liked the hints of romance in it. I am always in favor of a good Johnny Depp kiss scene. lol. I think he is great.

After the movie I looked for jobs. And then took a nap. I'm not feeling too hott today. But I know why. So that's nice. But really all I want is sleep, chocolate, and my life to sort itself out. I'm so done with this monotonous crap I get everyday. (And that would be the not so hott part of me talking but it is true.)

I think I am going to start writing, or at least outlining, an idea I have had for a very long time. I have the itch to write. lol. This should be interesting.

Snakes in my TV?

Today I didn't get to a lot of things I wanted to get done. But that's okay most of it was busy work anyway. I folded the rest of my laundry and straightened up my room. I listened to Josh Groban while I did that, starting with 'Chess'. I can't believe he'll be here next weekend. It doesn't really seem like that long ago since I saw him in London. But it was nine months ago. I am glad he is having fun on his tour. We missed Josh during his four year hiatus. lol.

We watched the second Lord Of The Rings tonight. Remember we have the extended editions. So this one was three hours and twenty minutes long. It has some great scenes that aren't in the theatrical versions. I really like the scenes that are in the extended versions. One of the scenes in the second movie shows Boromir and Faramir and their father. It helps you to understand why the two sons did what they did. They just want what is best for their people and to please their father. Boromir is a good person he is just misguided. I really love the scenes in the end of the third movie. The House of Healing is one of my favorite scenes in the whole trilogy. And if you only see the theatrical versions you would not know what I talking about.

Today I noticed that Satine's eyes are blue-ish grey. So she might be a pain tonight because she is ready to shed. But her body wasn't milky so I have a feeling she isn't going to shed tonight. But within the next day or two she'll shed and I'll have a soft, happy snake again. :) It's odd to see her eyes like that because they are normally dark. She can't really see. It's funny, but sad at the same time. I put a book on top the tank just in case she rubs up there she won't make they lid come off. Anyways, when I put it on top she coiled her head quickly underneath her body. I scared her. It made me laugh. But I was sorry I scared her.

Tomorrow Ammon and I are going to see the newest 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie. What's the subtitle of it? Oh yeah. On Stranger Tides. I have heard that this movie is really good. Better then the other ones. I'm excited to go and see it.

Jar of Hearts [Almost]

Yesterday not much happened at all so I didn't feel the need to write about it. I did watch a couple of episodes of 'Stargate SG-1' and the newest episode of 'Torchwood'. But that was probably the biggest thing I did all day yesterday. Well, that and look for a job but I do that everyday.

Today, after going on a walk with Lauren, I was very tired. So I took a short nap and then got ready for the day. That nap was so nice. My blankets were soft and I slept for about an hour and a half. (Maybe two.) I blame the lightning last night for keeping me from falling asleep. I woke up for some reason and I could not really go back to sleep quickly. Every few minutes I would either get a flash of purple light coming in my window or a loud boom that startles my brain from it's almost asleep state. As much as I LOVE lightning and thunder it was quite annoying last night when all I wanted to do was go back to sleep.

I did my laundry today, since for some reason it never got done on Monday. I completely forgot about it until the day was gone and I didn't have time to do it anymore. I couldn't do it yesterday because that is Mom's laundry day. And she takes all day. But yeah. Mine got done today. I even folded it all and put it away. Sometimes that doesn't get done for a while. lol. It's the curse of putting it in my bedroom. When I was in my apartment I would leave it in the front room and that way I would see it and remember to fold. And I did fold it while I watched tv or something. Sometimes I would fold it in the middle of the night when I was watching tennis. When it's in my room I don't see therefore I don't feel the need to fold it because I'm the only person that really goes in there.

I painted some lids today as well. But you really don't care about random lids, do you? Well, tough. I care. And it's my blog. lol. I recycle jars and use them for other things. And to make them more uniform I paint the lids white. That way the look smart and you can't tell the bottle was a pickle jar or a sauce jar. I really like using those Nalley pickle jars that are really big. It's fun to have such a large jar to put things in. (Although getting the jar, mostly the lid, to not smell like pickles takes a while. lol.) I like that the pickle jars and the sauce jars are the same height. But I do have some smaller jars too. One of them is perfect for my bobby pins and hair ties. It fits in the bathroom cabinet nicely too.

I finalized some Saturday Songs posts and scheduled them. I need to write a few more tomorrow. That way I have a good head start on them all. I have to look at my list of songs that I wanted to write about and pick a few of them.

Tonight, after dinner, I watched last night's 'White Collar' episode. This season is really, really good. It's sexy and intense. And you have no idea if Neal is going to get away with billions of dollars worth of artwork. I'll have to get the other seasons and see if they are all this good. This season is the first one I have really watched. :) It's a great show. The two leads (Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay) are phenomenal actors. They are gorgeous and work well together.

Lambert the Sheepish Lion

You can thank my little brother, Brian, for getting me onto this video. lol. But it is cute. Watch it. ... Now. ...

Today

Last night the internet wasn't working when I wanted it too. Oh well. It works today and that's all the really matters. (It's mush easy to look for jobs from the comfort of my own home and not the library.)

This morning's walk was nice. The weather was perfect for it. Cloudy and overcast and few misty rain drops. At 10:30am when I got home it was about 70°F (21°C) but it didn't feel that hot at all because of the cloud cover.

I was looking at my blog reader and specifically at a sewing one that I really like. She had pictures of her blocks that she is doing for a summer sampler quilt along. And after I look at them more I kind of want to do that quilt. There are many different techniques in the sample quilt, including paper piecing a few of them. And since I have a paper piece quilt that all around harder then these blocks I think I'll do this quilt before that quilt. :) Someday I'll have money for fabric. Then I can sew some of these quilt ideas.

Tonight for FHE we went swimming and hung out with the whole stake. I wasn't really planning on swimming because, to be honest, I'm not that comfortable in water. I can't touch the ground most of the time because I'm only just over 5 feet. And I always feel like my heart is going to pound out of my my body near the end of hanging out in a pool. But I brought my swim suit just in case. I found Lauren and Ammon so I decided I'll be okay in the pool. I had fun. We just swam/walked around and talked most of the time. It seems like there weren't a lot of people there but at the same time there was. They had popsicles for the food. Which was kind of lame. When they say food I think hot dogs and chips not dessert and soda pop. (Mmm. Soda. Great. Now I want one. Maybe I'll get one after I shower.)

Tomorrow Mom and I need to go return some bundles of shingles. And then I don't really have anything planned. I need to fold my laundry and I should clean my room. But that's about it. Maybe I'll see if I can focus on a play tomorrow.

Right now. I'm going to go rinse off this pool water smell and then get a soda. Maybe make some popcorn and watch a short-ish movie. It is 10 o'clock, after all.
